Samsung Galaxy S24 Lineup Prices Unchanged, Emergency Satellite Feature Confirmed

Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy S24 lineup is generating buzz as reports indicate that the flagship phones will maintain the pricing strategy of their predecessors, the Galaxy S23 series. A leaked screenshot has added weight to longstanding rumors about a groundbreaking feature—emergency satellite texting.

The leaked image confirms that one of the Galaxy S24 models will indeed support emergency texting via satellite, aligning with capabilities seen in recent iPhones and select Huawei devices. All Galaxy S24 phones are expected to embrace this emergency feature, irrespective of the chipset. While Samsung meets the 3GPP standards for satellite connection, its global availability at launch remains uncertain.

In terms of pricing, Samsung aims to retain the competitive edge by maintaining last year’s price points. The company believes this strategy will stimulate sales in a recovering market, offering consumers enhanced features at comparable or lower prices than competitors.

The tech giant plans to achieve a 10% increase in sales compared to the previous year, targeting a total shipment of 33 million units. Samsung’s ability to maintain prices is attributed to the use of the Exynos 2400 chip in the vanilla and Plus models for specific markets. However, the Galaxy S24 Ultra is set to feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 globally.

By strategically integrating features like emergency satellite texting and competitive pricing, Samsung positions itself to make a significant impact in the smartphone market with the Galaxy S24 lineup series. Stay tuned for more updates as the official launch approaches.
