Samsung Galaxy S25 FE to Feature Upgraded 12MP Selfie Camera Ahead of Launch
The Samsung Galaxy S25 FE is already making headlines ahead of its expected launch later this year. According to recent reports, the upcoming Fan Edition model will feature a notable upgrade to its selfie camera, jumping from the 10MP sensor found in the S24 FE to a sharper 12MP front-facing shooter. This improvement will likely deliver clearer and more detailed selfies, aligning with the rest of the Galaxy S25 series.
On the rear, the Galaxy S25 FE will retain the reliable 50MP main camera, the same as its predecessor. However, details about the other rear lenses are still under wraps. Fans are eager to see what upgrades Samsung might bring to the rest of the camera system.
Under the hood, the S25 FE may be powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 9400 SoC—a notable shift from Samsung’s usual Exynos chips. If this rumor holds, users can expect better performance and efficiency. Otherwise, it might stick with the Exynos 2400e, the same chipset found in the Galaxy S24 FE.
In terms of release, the Galaxy S25 FE is expected to launch in September or October, roughly a year after the S24 FE’s debut. Interestingly, it might be introduced alongside the Galaxy Z Flip7 FE, hinting at a dedicated FE launch event in the fall. This contrasts with earlier speculation that the budget foldable would be unveiled alongside the Galaxy Z Flip7 and Fold7 in July.
Samsung has yet to confirm these details officially, but leaks suggest the tech giant is positioning the Galaxy S25 FE as a strong contender in the mid-range flagship space, with a focus on camera enhancements and possibly improved processing power.
