Samsung Galaxy Tab A9+ Kids Edition Launched in the U.S. with Safety Features and Learning Tools

Samsung has announced the launch of the Galaxy Tab A9+ Kids Edition in the U.S., offering a child-friendly variant of the Tab A9+ with enhanced safety protocols. This new tablet ensures kids can use technology safely while learning and growing.

The Galaxy Tab A9+ Kids Edition features an 11″ WQXGA LCD screen with a 90Hz refresh rate, providing clear and smooth visuals. It includes a kid-safe, ergonomic puffy cover for camera protection and shockproof security. Samsung also offers three Crayo-Pen styluses in red, yellow, and blue, along with two interchangeable pen tethers and a built-in hands-free stand.

Preloaded with the Samsung Kids app, the tablet enables parents to create separate profiles for each child, set screen time limits, restrict app access, block social media sites, and monitor online activities. These features ensure a safe and controlled digital environment for children.

Key specifications include a 2.2 GHz Octa-core processor, 64GB storage expandable via microSD, Android OS, 8MP rear camera, 5MP front-facing camera, quad speakers with Dolby Atmos, and optional 5G connectivity. The tablet’s dimensions are 168.7 x 257.1 x 6.9mm, and it weighs 480g. It also boasts a 7,040mAh battery with 15W adaptive fast charging.

The Galaxy Tab A9+ Kids Edition is available in Graphite with case color options in Blue, Red, and Yellow. Priced at $269 (Rs. 22,536 approx.), it can be purchased online at Samsung.com, BestBuy.com, and Amazon.com. In-store availability begins on August 11, 2024, at Samsung Experience Stores and Best Buy. A 5G edition will be available through Verizon later this month.
