Samsung Galaxy M44, Now Galaxy Jump 3, Debuts in South Korea with Snapdragon 888 SoC

In an unexpected move, Samsung has officially introduced the Galaxy Jump 3 in its home market of South Korea, likely to be the international variant of the eagerly anticipated Galaxy M44. The smartphone showcases the signature design of Samsung’s mid-range lineup for late 2023, featuring a distinctive triple-camera arrangement on the back and a circular LED flash. The display sports a V or U-shaped notch, alongside a slightly thicker bottom bezel.

What sets the Galaxy Jump 3 apart from its mid-range counterparts is the surprising inclusion of the Snapdragon 888 chipset. While this processor dates back to 2020, it remains a powerful choice, outclassing typical mid-range offerings. This move could be a strategic use of existing stock, delivering a welcomed alternative to those unenthusiastic about the Exynos 1xxx series.

The Galaxy Jump 3 in South Korea boasts 6GB of RAM, 128GB of expandable storage, and a 6.58-inch 1080×2408 PLS LCD screen with a 120Hz refresh rate. The device features a robust camera setup, including a 50MP main rear camera complemented by two 2MP sensors, a 13MP selfie snapper, and a sizable 5,000mAh battery. The smartphone’s dimensions measure 167.7 x 78 x 9.1 mm, weighing in at 216g.
